Types of Retaining Walls

Gravity Wall

A gravity wall is sometimes referred to as a "garden wall." They are usually less than three feet in height and require no reinforcement. The weight and setback of the retaining wall block holds the wall in place.
Retaining Walls That Last

Reinforced Wall

Reinforced walls are usually taller than three feet and/or may hold back slopes to prevent erosion  or have a surcharge. They are designed by a state licens  ed engineer using geogrid. Most areas require stamped engineering.
